With a few hours left for the 2016 US presidential elections, and among several haters of the Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump, Hollywood actors also had joined the Trump-haters club, with a few even expressing their hatred in Hollywood Film Awards.
The Hollywood Film Awards host, James Corden, setting a joking tone said, “This year they brought back Star Wars with a female lead. They rebooted Ghostbusters with a female cast. And I pray to God they reboot the Clinton presidency with a female lead.”
Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, who had earlier refused to pose for a snap with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, saying, “If you’re supporting Trump, I want nothing to do with you”, spoke to the audience at the award ceremony in rather serious tone. The veteran actor said, “Let me just lay it out right here: We have the opportunity to prevent a comedy from turning into a tragedy. Vote for Hillary Tuesday.”
Criticizing Trump’s earlier comments suggesting climate change as a ‘Chinese hoax’, actor Leonardo DiCaprio asked the people to vote for someone who believes ‘in the science of climate change’.
Earlier, other Hollywood stars, like Samuel L Jackson, Bryan Cranston, Lena Dunham and others, had made it clear that they’ll leave America if Trump becomes the President.
