As the world is eyeing on the results of the US elections with the commencement of voting to elect its next President, the Republic presidential nominee made his last effort to strike the chord of his supporters. Donald Trump, who moved heaven and earth together to win the elections, said just before the voting that if he ends up losing his bid for the White House on Tuesday, he will consider his nearly 15-month-long campaign to be the single greatest waste of time, energy and money of his life. Also, the 70-year-old said that his defeat will also waste the efforts of his supporters.
In his final address to Republican supporters at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds on Monday, the atlantic.com website quoted him, as saying, “If we don’t win, I will consider it the single greatest waste of time, energy and money.” Trump did not stop here and included his supporters into his statement. He further said “If we don’t win, all of us, honestly? We have all wasted our time,”
It may be mentioned here that the first ballots in the US presidential polls were cast today in New Hampshire, traditionally the first in the nation to vote on election day. Much to the shock to Trump, Democratic candidate Clinton won the contest. However, the final result will be declared on Wednesday with the name of the next occupant of the White House.
