At a time when Donald Trump is busy preparing his team to run the United States administration, an online petition has urged the US President-elect to appoint pornstar Mia Khalifa as the next US ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
The petition on Change.org has been started by one Dalcolm Rodriguez-Goldstein. The petition has so far received over 4000 signatures.
Arguing the case for the adult film star, the petitioner says, “Mia Khalifa has a proven track record of bringing people together regardless of cultural background for the betterment of our country and international community. She will be a great leader representing us in the middle east as well as a symbol of the melting pot that is America.”
The pornstar is no more active in the adult entertainment industry. In July, she had told the Washington Post that she was planning to leave the porn business. According to reports, she remained active in the porn industry only for a year but received a huge fan following in the time period on social media. Mia Khalifa has 1.32 million followers on Twitter and over 5 lakh fans on Instagram. She is now using her “fame” to popularise college football in the US.
Donald Trump has reportedly named Wilbur Ross, the billionaire investor considered the “king of bankruptcy” for buying beaten-down companies with the potential to deliver profits, as commerce secretary. While, Steven Mnuchin, a Wall Street veteran with ties to Hollywood, has been named as the US Treasury secretary.
