There is an old saying that fortune favours the brave and this happened to be true for a Pakistani national who won $1 million in a Dubai Duty Free (DDF) raffle on Tuesday. As per reports from Khaleej Times, just two days ago an Indian expat Harikrishnan V. Nair won Dh12 million in a lottery in Abu Dhabi. And today it was the turn of Pakistani national Muhammad Akbar Khan to become fortunate when he won $1 million in DDF raffle. However, Khan was not available for comment, the Khaleej Times reports that he held ticket no. 1915 in series 261.
The report also mentioned names of two winners who got a car and two motorbikes by DDF in its first draw of 2018. Tsubasa Mizogami, a Japanese national from Hanoi, Vietnam, won the BMW i8 Crystal White Pearl car. The motorcycles were won by Clara Lasrado, an Indian national based in Dubai, and Dmitri, a Russian national from St. Petersburg. They won BMW S 1000 XR Ocean Blue and the BMW R 1200 RS Frozen Bronze Black motorcycles, respectively.
Earlier on January 7 Harikrishnan V Nair, became the lucky winner in Big Ticket raffle draw held in Abu Dhabi. He won Dh12 million in Big Ticket Draw on Sunday morning.He won prize money with his ticket number 086828.
Dubai Duty Free (DDF) is the company responsible for the duty-free operations at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. The retail operation covers some 35,000 square metres of retail space at Dubai International Airport. Meanwhile, the Dubai Duty Free operation at Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport covers 2,500 square metres.
