As deputy chairman of the Planning Commission now, Montek Singh Ahluwalia has made the institution, that many had thought to be receding, into one of the busiest parts of the UPA government. He tells The Indian Express Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta that while there is progress on infrastructure at the halfway point of this government's term, in the second half it must focus on the unfinished tasks in agriculture, education and health.
