Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 162.96 points up to stand at 19,664.04. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 48.00 points up to stand at 5,946.20. IFCI Ltd. and Tech Mahindra Ltd. were among the top gainers with an increase of 5.52percent and 5.00percent along with Wockhardt Ltd. and Oil and Natural Gas Corpn. Ltd. with an increase of 4.89percent and 4.52percent respectively, while the top losers include Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. with a decrease of 2.04percent and 1.47percent along with GAIL (India) Ltd. and Hero MotoCorp Ltd. with a decrease 1.37percent and 1.33percent at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 119.62 points at 10,968.88, while the banking sector is up 75.96 points at 14,240.25 and the realty sector is up 42.94 points at 2,121.84. The Indian currency is up 0.07 percent at Rs 54.18 per dollar.
