Former aviation minister, Shahnawaz Hussain today mocked Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, by calling it a cheap 'Chinese toy'. Earlier in the day, India had grounded all six of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft operated by Air India after the same decision was made by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The snag found in the aircraft has drawn flack, especially from the BJP which is now demanding a high- level enquiry into the matter. Aviation expert, Harshvardhan, said that the decision to ground the aircraft is a precautionary one. Former director of the DGCA, Kanu Gohain also said that grounding was the first step to tackle any repeated safety problems in an airline. Meanwhile expressing concern, Wing Commander (Retired), Praful Bakshi said that the snags found in the aircraft could have lead to serious difficulties.
