Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 81.76 points down to stand at 19,335.70. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 35.50 points down to stand at 5,870.10. Torrent Power Ltd. and NHPC Ltd. were among the top gainers with an increase of 4.58% and 3.48% along with Idea Cellular Ltd. and Coromandel International Ltd. with an increase of 3.24% and 2.80% respectively, while the top losers include Rajesh Exports Ltd. and Strides Arcolab Ltd. with a decrease of 5.25% and 3.96% along with Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. and Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. with a decrease of 3.48% and 2.28% at the close of the markets.The Indian currency is down 0.20% at Rs. 54.94 per dollar.
