Commerce Secretary S R Rao today said that exports fell 4 percent to $22.3 billion in November, while imports jumped to $41.5 billion, leaving a trade deficit of $19.3 billion. Exports between April and November fell 6 percent to $189 billion. In November 2011, exports stood at $23.2 billion. However imports grew by 6.35percent to $41.5 billion in November, leaving a trade deficit of $19.28 billion. Rao said that there has been a slight improvement in the performance, as compared to the same period last year.
