A day after the fragile ruling coalition government won a vote to allow FDI in multi brand retail in the country, the Congress today exuded confidence of emerging victorious in the upper house of parliament as well. The Nationalist Congress Party, an ally of the central government, also came out strongly in support of the government. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader, Venkaiah Naidu said that their party has achieved moral victory as majority of the parliamentarians spoke against retail reform. Vice-President of All India Trinamool Congress, Derek O' Brien also said that the government is in minority and any amount of match-fixing will not be accepted.
