Union Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and his Bangladeshi counterpart Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir agreed to sign extradition treaty in January next year. Shinde said it was agreed that Revised Travel Agreement RTA as well as extradition treaty would be finalized and signed in January 2013 during his visit to Dhaka. Both the governments agreed to allow development works within 150 yards of the zero line on the Bangladesh-India border. Meanwhile, Alamgir said that Dhaka would consider New Delhi's request to send the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) militant, Anup Chetia, to India once Chetia's plea is decided by the apex court.
