The erstwhile No. 1 phone maker in world seems to have adopted an approach that everyone has shied away from - degrading the opposition in a 'cute' way. Recently, it took on Samsung Galaxy S4 and 'bested' it. Now, its target is Apple Inc, which unveiled two standout smartphones, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. Check out its attempts to bring down the high flying Apple Inc crashing down to earth. It matched each revelation by Apple Inc CEO Tim Cook with a tongue-in-cheek, if not out-rightly disparaging, tweet. Indubitably, it will take more than just bad-mouthing the opposition for Nokia to regain its former sway over the world of mobile phones. So, here's hoping that Nokia's 'real' strategy packs more punch than its Twitter-based punchlines.
Nokia covertly tweeted 'Real gansters don't use gold phones'. Might be an indirect message rather comments about the Apple Inc. new phones- iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
If it was not enough, Nokia posted a picture on twitter which read, 'Imitation is best form of flattery'. Nokia believes that the Apple has copied the colour concept from the Lumia 1020 for their iPhone 5C.
Tweetpies too came forward with funny comments on smartphone makers. On Nokia Lumia 1020, an avid Apple iPhone follower tweeted, 'Lumia owners, reasons to leave, convince me to switch guys, give me or show me a reason to leave iPhone. I bet you can't!!'
Lumia owners, reasons to leave ? RT @alawton77 convince me to switch guys, give me or show me a reason to leave iPhone. I bet you can't!!— Nokia UK (@nokia_uk) September 10, 2013
This was not the end Nokia also created hashtag (#SwitchToLumia) to promote Lumia 1020.
Hope this works for them
