It is hard to keep former Indian opener Virender Sehwag away from the limelight these days. While he spent most of his cricketing career sending the ball over the boundary rope, Sehwag continues to entertain on various social media platforms. As India finished its long domestic season by beating Australia in Dharamshala, Virender Sehwag summed it up by announcing the ‘Viru Gharelu Awards’. He basically picked up nicknames for key Indian and Australian players based on their performance. While the Indian skipper Virat Kohli was given the holder award, his counterpart Steve Smith received the tube light award, probably because of his brain fade incident.

Ajinkya Rahane led the team in Virat Kohli’s absence and led the team with composure. After the match, Kohli said, “No, it has changed for sure. I thought that was the case but it has changed for sure. As I said in the heat of the battle, you want to be competitive but yeah I have been proven wrong. The thing I said before the first Test, I have certainly been proven wrong and you won’t hear me say that ever again. Regardless of whether we are on top or not, we speak, if something pokes us we speak and give it right back. All people don’t digest it well but we take it very well and we give it back even better.”
