A special screening of ‘Sachin A Billion Dreams’ based on former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s life was held on Wednesday for the Indian cricket team before it left to take part in the ICC Champions Trophy which is scheduled to begin in England on June 1. The event was attended by all the top cricketers including Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni and Ravichandran Ashwin. However, it was the Indian skipper who stole the show, this time because of his outing with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. The actress posed with Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar and the images went viral on social media.

Shikhar Dhawan, who also attended the premiere with his wife and son, praised the movie. “Loved watching @sachin_rt pajhi’s movie, its amazing. Always lovely meeting him,” wrote Dhawan on Twitter who was India’s leading run-scorer in the last edition of the tournament and will have an important role to play this time as well. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane thanked Sachin for inspiring the nation. “thank you Sachin Sir for inspiring everyone Indian @sachin_rt,” he wrote.

The film is set to release on May 26 while the Indian team while start its campaign against Pakistan on June 4 in Edgbaston. Before leaving for England, Ashwin also received the Ceat International Cricketer of the Year award from Sunil Gavaskar. “I might be able to do something new in this tournament hopefully. I think I am equipped enough to do it. Hopefully, these two practice games against (New Zealand and Bangladesh) will give me an indication about how well I go in this tournament, and how well my variations will come to fore,” Ashwin was quoted saying by ANI.
