Spaniard Rafael Nadal has insisted that his decade-long experience of playing at the French Open makes him a serious contender for a tenth title, despite being widely written off.
Seeded seventh in this year’s tournament, the 28-year-old Spaniard has had a relatively poor clay court season, but believes that low expectations can still bring the best out of him, reports Sports24.
The tournament begins on Sunday.
He said that while he did not know how things would pan out eventually, it did not mean that he was low on confidence. He said that he was ready as any other top competing tennis player should be.
