Indian cricket team’s former captain MS Dhoni is preparing well for his retirement. Dhoni has decided to open a 5-star hotel in Ranchi after he retires from cricket. The hotel will be opened by Dhoni’s firm Reeti Travels and Ticketing Limited. The company has chosen a five-acre piece of land located close to the Judicial Academy located at Dhurva, located close to Ranchi. The land which has been selected for the hotel is owned by the Tourism Department of the state government. The construction of the hotel is expected to cost a massive Rs 300 crore, according to a Jansatta Online report.
Arun Pandey, a promoter of Dhoni’s firm Reeti Travels and Ticketing Limited has told Jansatta that the construction of the hotel will begin soon after the land is allocated to the company. Pandey said, ”We have sought permission from the government to use the land and we are waiting for the government’s approval. Hotel construction will begin as soon as the land is handed over to us”. Pandey also told Jansatta about other ventures of the cricketer, who has recently opened a sports store in Nucleus Mall in Ranchi, adding that the cricketer was planning to open a chain of 275 sports stores by 2020. The promoter also added that a plan to open a sports university and setting up of a sportswear factory was also in the pipeline, according to the Jansatta report.
Dhoni is also the Brand Ambassador of Momentum Jharkhand and has taken part in the Global Investment Summit in that capacity, according to the report.
