India’s ace shuttler and Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu lost to local favourite NG Ka Long Angus today in Hong Kong Open final. In a hard fought match , she lost 15-21, 16-21. During the match on several occasion Sindhu tried to catch up her Hong Kong rival, but each time the Hong Kong shuttler using her feet movement better was able to surpass her. It was a kind of sweet revenge for Tzu Ying, whom Sindhu had defeated in in the Rio Olympics earlier this year. The Hong Kong shuttler now leads 5-3 in the head-to-head record against Sindhu. Fourth seed Tzu Ying was in command of the match fsince the beginning and produced a near-perfect all-round performance. Tzu Ying almost countered everything that Sindhu threw at her  He use of her wrist to control her shots was also praiseworthy.In the semi-final PV defeated local girl Ngan Yi Cheung in straight sets. With high on confidence, Sindhu is likely to win another tournament and bring for laurels for the country. Highlights of the women’s singles final is below:
