Live Score, Pak vs WI, 3rd ODI, Abu Dhabi: Pakistan captain Azhar Ali won the toss and has opted to bat first against the West Indies in the 3rd ODI on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi. Pakistan team has been doing well against the Windies and is looking for a series sweep, having taken the Twenty20 series. A few changes have been made by Pakistan with Sohail Khan to replace fast bowler Mohammad Amir, who rushed home to care for an ailing mother. West Indies too made changes, in fact, 2 of them. Opener Evin Lewis will debut for them, having replaced Johnson Charles, and also coming in is pacer Shannon Gabriel who has replaced Carlos Brathwaite. Pakistan have batted well throughout the series and the bowlers have done well too. The same kind of performance is expected today from the hosts. The man to watch of course is Babar Azam who has scored 2 centuries on the trot and it remains to be seen what he will do today. While West Indies have a number of great players, none of them has raised his hands to take up the responsibility of playing a match-winning innings so far.

Live Score, Pak vs WI, 3rd ODI, Abu Dhabi Live Commentary and streaming:

* From poor bowling to an even messier batting display, West Indies managed to show how not to play cricket. Most West Indies batsmen got into double fingers and then threw away their wickets! Strange indeed. This poor show by WI made Pakistan look better than they are. However, a victory is a victory.

* OUT! They are all just committing hara kiri! Very unprofessional. Tries a pull shot that goes in the air and Shoaib Malik snaps it up! Alzarri Joseph c Sohaib Malik b Wahab Riaz.

* OUT! Sulieman Benn goes for a duck too! Of all the things, the tail-ender tries a reverse sweep against Nawaz, gets a snick that loops to short fine-leg. Haris Sohail takes the catch after a fumble. Benn c Haris Sohail b Mohammad Nawaz 0.

* OUT! Sunil Narine is stumped by Sarfraz Ahmed for a duck! Narine steps out and misses the ball.

* OUT! Jason Holder goes for 26. Bowler is Imad Wasim. Holder takes a big heave at a ball that was coming in, gets  bowled.

* OUT! Kieron Pollard does not bother the scorers too much. His performance through the series has been pretty bad. Tries to go for maximum, hit his way out of trouble. Fails to realise that that is not the best policy. With all his experience, he should have known better. Shoaib Malik takes a fine tumbling catch. Pollard scores 11 runs from 20 balls.

* OUT! Marlon Samuels run out for 13. Mohammad Rizwan effects a fine dismissal. Likely Denesh Ramdin to blame as he set off for a run and then backtracked! Leaves Samuels high and dry half-way.

* OUT! Yet another one bites the dust! A totally out of touch Darren Bravo. Beaten by pace off a length ball that was pitched outside off. Bravo could not help but chase it. Snicks it and Sarfaz pouches it! Bravo scored 17 off 40. The deliveries faced indicates what a torrid time Bravo had at the crease. He was just puttering around. In fact, he and Pollard’s last ODI innings were the same as both wasted a lot of balls and stayed scoreless. Weird!

* OUT! Brathwaite goes. Shoaib Malik’s turner gets the better of the batsman. The ball came in and struck the batsman’s pad in front of  middle stump. The fact that he had taken a big step forward did not help his cause as umpire raised his finger to the appeal by the gleeful bowler. The review too went in favour of bowler. KC Brathwaite scored lbw 32 off 44 balls.

* West Indies score 50/1 in 13 overs with Kraigg Brathwaite on 19 off 30 balls and Darren Bravo on 2 off 18 balls.

* OUT! Just a ball after smashing the ball to the boundary, Lewis gets out. Rush of blood! Sohail Khan is the bowler. Length ball comes in, Lewis fails to account for it, misses and the ball crashes into the leg stump. Lewis scores 22, embellished with 4 4s. West Indies 46/1 still require 263 runs from 40 overs.

* For a change, West Indies look to have some semblance of control over their play. They are batting well enough and not letting the bad balls go unpunished. Throughout the series you have come to expect them to fall like nine pins or do worse whenever some pressure is put on them. Not today. At least not till now! Not that the Pakistan bowlers are doing things right. They seem to have thought the batsmen have scored 300 and they will cruise from there. Things can change. And as far as Pakistan is concerned, things usually change for the worse for them! Pak skipper does not seem to be unduly worried though!

* Brathwaite and Lewis have raced 38/0 in 8 overs. Smashing cricket! Or should we say calypso cricket all the way! Pakistani fielding is good at the moment. They are chasing down the balls quick, keeping the run rate restricted.

* Imad Wasim to bowl first over for Pakistan and to open for Windies are openers with Kraigg Brathwaite and Evin Lewis

* Pakistan score 308/6 in 50 overs. Amazing display of batting prowess by Pakistan. This kind of power-play not expected from Pakistan. Over the last few years it had lost this supremacy, but it looks to be regaining touch slowly but steadily now. Having said that, the West Indies had managed to stop the flow of runs in the last 10 overs or so and also successfully took wickets. But this fightback was too late in coming as Pakistan have scored over 300 runs.

* OUT! Imad Wasim falls to Joseph. Holes out at deep midwicket after failing to negotiate a bumper, Darren Bravo pouches it. He scored 4.

* OUT! Mohammad Rizwan out for 4; Alzarri Joseph the bowler. Rizwan was hit high on pad and umpire took his time to raise his finger. The batsman went for a review, but failed to get the decision overturned by the third umpire.

* OUT! Babar Azam is finally out! The man whose position in Windies team is under the scanner, Kieron Pollard, is the bowler Azam scored 117. Pollard hits the leg stump after going for an unorthodox, scoop-type, shot.

* 100! Phenomenal batting by Babar Azam! Batsman slams 3 centuries in 3 ODIs!

* OUT! Shoaib Malik  fails to deal with a turning Sunil Narine delivery, snicks it to ‘keeper Denesh Ramdin. Pak 261/3 (43.3)

* OUT! Azhar Ali is out. Rush of blood! Dances down the wicket and misses, Jason Holder doesn’t as the ball crashes into stumps. Pakistan 232/2.

* 100! Azhar Ali scores his third ODI ton, taking 3 runs off Sulieman Benn. He is first Pakistani captain to reach mark.

* Babar Azam is batting not just solidly, giving company to his skipper, he is no laggard as he is keeping the scorecard ticking over.

* Pakistan are  208/1 in 34.2 Overs with a spectacular run rate of 6.05.

* Just minutes after bringing up his 50 with a single, Babar Azam brings up Pakistan’s 200 in 33 overs with a 4. He is peak form – 2 centuries plus a 50 now! Did get a life with Pakistan on 150 when an edge off Shannon Gabriel was not taken by ‘keeper. It ran away for a 4. West Indies fielding is really bad, they had let another chance go abegging, that of Azhar Ali.

* 50 for Azhar Ali. Takes single off Sunil Narine

* 50! Azhar Ali scores half-century off Sunil Narine (he is just not the same bowler ever since his action first came under scrutiny).

* Pakistan bring up 100 after 19.1 overs

* OUT! WICKET, FINALLY! Pakistan loses its first wicket at 85. Benn the bowler. Alzarri takes a fine catch at long-on as the batsman was looking to slam another one over the boundary. Babar Azam walks in. He is out for 38 off 41 deliveries.

*A surprising all-around change for Pakistan in recent months in most forms of cricket. Seems just a while ago they could not bat, bowl, or even field to save their lives. Yet here they are lording  it over WI and in fact they were World No. 1 Test playing side till India muscled them out 2 days ago after beating New Zealand!

* Pakistan in driver’s seat. Blast Windies bowlers all over the park. Openers bring up the 50-mark in just 6 overs.

* Shannon Gabriel comes on and he is suitably thrashed. He loses his mettle instantly, spraying the ball all over allowing batsmen to score at will. Gives away 9 runs.

* Pakistan openers Azhar Ali and Sharjeel Khan showed that they meant business today, that they would not take their hands off Windies throat even though the series is won – they can target the complete sweep. Alzarri Joseph gives away 8 runs.

* West Indies have been too scared to drop Kieron Pollard. Guess reputation matters in these things. Considering the terrible nature of his batting and an even worse attitude, he should have been the first to be dropped.

* While Pollard is a laggard, here are a few players who have made a mark on the series from both sides. Babar Azam has scored 2 centuries; Darren Bravo has scored a 50  and so has veteran Marlon Samuels; Sarfraz Ahmed also hit 60 and remained unbeaten.

Pakistan: Azhar Ali (captain), Sharjeel Khan, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Sohail Khan, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali.

West Indies: Jason Holder (captain), Kraigg Brathwaite, Evin Lewis, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Sulieman Benn, Alzarri Joseph, Shannon Gabriel.
