If you don’t have a tie and shirt then you won’t get to see the Wimbledon final: this is exactly what happened to Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, who was banned from the Royal Box on July 12.
The 30-year-old Lewis Hamilton, who was due to sit alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Anna Wintour, was barred by officials after he arrived dressed up in a colourful ensemble, reported the Daily Mail.
The F1 champion wore a floral shirt and camel-coloured suede shoes topped with a hat.
Lewis Hamilton, who previously flaunted his Royal Box invitation package on Instagram, later posted a picture of himself watching the men’s final from a hospitality area inside the centre court.
Talking about the issue, Hamilton’s spokesperson said that due to an unfortunate misunderstanding regarding dress code at Wimbledon, the racer was very disappointed to have missed the men’s final.
