Tennis ace Sania Mirza, who won the Wimbledon women’s doubles title with partner Martina Hingis, tweeted on Sunday that it had been one special journey for the duo.
“Allhamdulillah ..first and foremost ?? what a day it’s been… Wowwww,” Sania said on twitter.
“It’s been one special journey together and we’re just getting started ???????? #wimbledon http://instagram.com/p/5BPzjBD7in/,” she added.
The tennis ace also retweeted the wishes of President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulating her on her stunning victory.
She even shared photos of her and Hingis, jubiant after their glorious win.
Mirza and Hingis delivered a 5-7 7-6(4) 7-5 blow to their Russian comeptitors Elena Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova.
This is Sania’s latest heist after winning three mixed doubles Grand Slam trophies.
