Indian Super League final: In front of a record crowd of over 60,000 spectators at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi that included celebrities from Bollywood and sporting world Kerala Blasters took on Atletico de Kolkata in the title clash. A huge number of spectators sported their particular team’s dress and this made for a vibrant and colourful backdrop for this pulsating match. As expected, the match was played at a furious tempo and the chances flowed fast and furious for both teams. But just one could emerge victorious. What added to the thrill of the tournament is the fact that Kerala Blasters is co-owned by cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar and he was present at the stadium along with his wife Anjali. On the other side was Atletico Kolkata co-owner Sourav Ganguly who too was present along with ISL chairperson Nita Ambani. In the 3-years old history of ISL, both the teams had their own share of problems, where one was finding it difficult to score goals, and the other had a vulnerable defence. But that did not stop them from reaching the finals after getting rid of all rivals.
