On his 29th birthday, wishes poured in for Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma on social media from his seniors and fellow cricketers. But the most unique and hilarious wish was that of Virender Sehwag on Twitter. He compared Ishant Sharma to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world). Sehwag also shared an image that resembles Ishant’s picture, which was taken when the fast bowler mocked Australia skipper Steven Smith, during a Test series earlier this year. Sehwag wrote: “Happy Birthday @ImIshant. Burj Khalifa ji , found out your trainer. Keep entertaining and stay blessed.” Cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar also took to Twitter and posted, “Many many happy returns of the day, @ImIshant! Stay blessed!” Harbhajan Singh also didn’t miss the chance to troll Ishant, he wrote: “Happy birthday lambu @ImIshant! Height se bhi zyada khushiya hamesha bani rahe????Enjoy brother! God bless” Hardik Pandya tweeted: “Many happy returns of the day to the ‘towering’ presence of Indian cricket, @ImIshant. A great player on the field, a lot of fun off it.”

Yesterday Indian coach Ravi Shastri shared a good news about the pacer. Shastri confirmed that Ishant Sharma will be joining the Indian team soon, and added that he would like to see more fast bowlers, as well as top-order batsmen, make their way to the County circuit, especially before the Test series in England next summer.

Here are some wishes for the tall fast bowler:

Here is how other people wished him

Ishant has a good career graph with over 300 international wickets in 171 matches, so far. One of the most brilliant bowling performances from the pacer came at Lord’s in 2014 when he bagged career best figures of 7/74 against England in second innings. Ishant played his first test match against Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium on May 25, 2007. In the ODI format, the fast bowler debuted against South Africa at Civil Service Cricket Club on Jun 29, 2007.
