IPL Auction 2017: The bidding season this time saw huge names selling out for outrageously big numbers. From Ben Stokes who was sold out to Rising Pune Supergiants for a whooping Rs 14.5 crore and Tymal Mills being sold for 12 crore to RCB, IPL Auction saw some really exciting moments. Although some of the bidding were predictable, some were insanely unexpected. Tymal Mills was the second most expensive players before the break. South Africa’s extremely talented 21-year-old bowler Kagiso Rabada was sold to Delhi Daredevils for 5 Crore and New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, known for his amazing batting attack was completely overlooked in the first half of the auction and was sold for Rs 50 Lakhs in the second half. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi became first ever player from their country to play in IPL. Where Rashid Khan was sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs 4 crore, Mohammad Nabi, right hand batsman and off break bowler and also the former captain of Afghanistan was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 30 Lakhs. Ben Stokes and Tymal Mills also broke some records. Where on one hand the cricketers at auction had a roller coaster of emotions, the Twitterati flooded the internet with their hilarious reactions. Delhi CM again saw his name being dragged in the jokes and England too got trolled for Kohinoor and no, Pakistan was not spared either. Check out these hilarious tweets:
