Cricket or wives-what Indian men will choose on Karvachauth on October 19 when India will take on New Zealand at Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla? Well, certainly nobody has the answer, but an apprehended Delhi and District Cricket Association(DDCA) decided not to take the risk. The third ODI was on Thursday postponed by a day due to the Karva Chauth festival. Confirming the development with news agency IANS, DDCA vice president CK Khanna said that a request was made to BCCI to postpone the match, which was agreed. Now, instead of October 19, the match will take place on October 20, Khanna told the news agency. Besides this, security was another reason behind postponing of the match. It was assumed that police will be busy managing the festive pressure during the one-day traditional festival observed by women.
Meanwhile, Twitter found a reason to laugh upon:
Hope AAP doesn’t disappoint us by postponing any CD release for Karva Chauth just like BCCI postponed one day match ..! @OneTipOneHand_

Feroz Shah Kotla is also scheduled to host a warm-up for New Zealand when the visitors will face President’s XI from September 16-18. The Test series will kick off on September 22 in Kanpur. The first ODI is on October 16 in Dharamsala.
