In another example of the European clubs trying to come in focus of the Indian markets, Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane recently received a jersey from his favourite football club Bayern Munich with his name and the number 27 printed on it, wishing him for the Diwali. Earlier, other European clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal had posted videos on social media platforms, wishing their Indian fans for the Diwali while TottenhamHotspurs and Borussia Dortmund also posted updates in Hindi.
Rahane had earlier posted on facebook appreciating the German club and thanking them for the Diwali gift, also promising a return gift.
As a return gift Rahane sent a India cricket team ODI jersey, which was received by Bayern Munich star player Arjen Robben. The picture of Robben posing with the Indian jersey was shared by the club in their official social media facebook account with diwali wishes to India.
“Arjen Robben certainly enjoyed receiving his Diwali gift from Ajinkya Rahane! We hope all our Indian fans had a very happy Diwali!” the post mentioned.
