Close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of setting up a Rs 20,000-crore defence industrial corridor in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh, defence minister Nirmal Sitharaman on Thursday got to work and announced that a defence innovation hub will soon come up which would give employment to 1 lakh people in the next 10 years.
