Post-facelift, Ford Fiesta to be launched soon in India

The facelifted model that was showcased at the Indian Auto Expo in February will now come with decent exterior and interior updates at a competitive price tag of around Rs 8 lakhs. It will come only in diesel engine choice. On safety front, base variant will only get passenger airbag, anti-lock braking system and electronic brake distribution while the upper variants will be getting dual airbags, engine immobilizer, door ajar warning, traction control, hill-launch assist and crash sensor. Among the most noteworthy changes that can be seen outside the car is the front profile. The car now sports Aston Martin styled grille accompanied with swept back headlamps and redesigned bonnet. The center console is dressed in piano black scheme and blue lightning. This time the trim level is limited to only three, namely, Ambiente, Trend and Titanium. The Ambiente is the base variant that lacks almost every gadget including stereo system while the middle Trend and top end Titanium variant comes equipped with automatic climate control, steering mounted audio controls with cruise control, sync on board computer, footwell lamps, etc. The Titanium variant also gets automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, smart keyless entry with engine start/stop switch, electrically adjustable ORVMs and reverse parking camera.
