Global university ranking list is not the only implying statistics that reveals the skeleton of Indian academics. The other relevant statistics like citation index ( implying quality of scientists and research ), innovation index, technology achievement index all figures showing the quality of celebration and output tells a similer story about India .It is high time people of this country wake up from its slumber and hollow megalomania and accept the reality so that something substantial steps may be taken.

Writer/Editor completely missed IIT Kharagpur, which slipped to 250-300 category, while being the only Indian ins ute to get under top 100 last year.
