Dussehra 2017: How India is celebrating the festival marking victory of good over evil

    Dussehra in India every year marks the tenth day of Ashvin, as per the Hindu calendar. The epic of the Ramayana and its episode of Rama’s victory over the evil king Ravana are played out across the country on this occasion. Like every year, the Ravan Dahan celebrations will be full of pop and show with lighting and fireworks. Effigies of Ravana along with the effigies of Meghnath and Kumbkaran will be burnt.
