The 400 meter long MOL Triumph, which is said to be the largest cargo ship ever, will soon enter service this year. The cargo ship is one-of-its-kind ultra-large container vessel that is claimed to be more fuel efficient than other previous carriers. Built by Samsung in South Korea, the cargo ship will be operational between the ports of China and Europe. As per a BBC report, the ship can hold up to 20,170 containers and is the first of MOL's fleet of six 20,000 TEU-class vessels. (Source: Reuters)

The cargo will soon be on its first trip to northern Europe since entering service earlier in 2017 and has currently arrived in Southampton at about 14:00 BST. The report also stated that the ship on May 15 reached Hamburg at HHLA Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) by the scheduled time. (Image: Reuters)

The MOL Triump has been built with some of the latest techniques such as a special paint that reduces friction in the water. This ship uses three-times less fuel per container compared to other ships built just five years ago. Usually ships like this burn heavy oil which contains harmful sulphur in heavy amounts, however, this one has been designed to switch to liquefied natural gas. (Image: Reuters)
