'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' box office collections after day 4 have risen to a spectacular Rs 250 crore, all-inclusive! This is courtesy momentum acquired on day 1 when it bagged a humongous Rs 40.35 crore, burnishing further superstar Salman Khan's reputation as B.O. magnet. Crowds have continued to stream into cinemas in the first week due to the good word of mouth effect and that has held up PRDP total collection figure on an upward trajectory. Here is how PRDP collection has kept swelling and swelling and is eyeing much, much more as the week draws to a close:

Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo acquired tremendous momentum from first day’s humongous take of Rs 40.35 crore - the advantage was it released the day after Diwali which was a holiday and crowds thronged into theatres. A string of movies in weeks leading up to PRDP release had failed to enthuse the masses and they were eager to see what megastar Salman Khan had to offer. (PTI)

  • On Friday (day 2), PRDP collections figure did fall from stratospheric heights, but still managed an eye-popping Rs 31.03 crore. “The film has witnessed only 23 per cent drop over its release day. In merely two days since release, PRDP has collected Rs 71.38 crore,” the filmmakers said in a statement.

On Saturday (day 3), the collection was Rs 30.07 crore. Trade guru Taran Adarsh tweeted: “#PremRatanDhanPayo crosses Rs.100 crore on Day 3 (Saturday). Business should again witness an upward trend today (Sunday). Big four-day total on the cards”. (PTI)

On Sunday (day 4) PRDP collection figure fell to Rs 28.30, taking ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ total collection figure to Rs 129.77 crore. The hiccup on Sunday however, is a blemish on an otherwise triumphant march by PRDP and with Friday set to see a some new releases (especially James Bond ‘Spectre’), Salman Khan needs to make sure he fattens up his tally well before then. “#PremRatanDhanPayo packed a solid (four-day) weekend, maintaining consistent biz from Friday-Sunday. Monday onwards is crucial for the film. Weekdays will determine where #PremRatanDhanPayo is heading. With no major Hindi film releasing next Friday, should enjoy another good week,” Taran Adarsh tweeted early on Monday. (PTI)

However, later Taran Adarsh again tweeted that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo box office collections have skyrocketed to a mammoth Rs 250 crore. Check out his tweet: #PremRatanDhanPayo India nett: ₹ 129.77 cr. India gross: ₹ 191 cr... Overseas: $ 8.9 million [₹ 59 cr]. Worldwide gross: ₹ 250 cr. AWESOME! (1:22 PM - 16 Nov 2015) (PTI)
