    Voylla signs Kangana Ranaut as brand ambassador

    Fashion jewellery firm Voylla today said it has roped in actress Kangana Ranaut as its brand ambassador. "For us, it was a strategic fit since Kangana personifies the brand. We started as an e-Commerce-only brand but now are well on our way to become a compelling omni-channel brand," Voylla founder and CEO Vishwas Shringi said.     FMCG firm Marico today announced the relaunch of its hair serum Livon. Livon was amongst the first hair serums to be introduced in the market 13 years ago under Livon Silky Potion. The revamped brand has a new look and is projecting itself as an ultra-lightweight formulation, offering damage protection.     Kolkata-based United Bank of India today entered into a strategic alliance with Kotak Securities that will enable bank customers to get benefit of online trading. A statement said UBI customers would be offered 3-in-1 account-saving, demat and trading account. The co-branded product U-connect would focus on online trading for bank customers, but offline mode would also be made available, the statement added. (Reuters)

    Paytm adds QR code capabilities to Wallet app

    New Delhi, Oct 14 (PTI) Digital payments platform Paytm today said it has introduced a QR code-based payments mechanism on its Paytm Wallet app. A shopkeeper or service provider would have to generate a QR code and start accepting digital payments. On the other hand, customers can pay via their Paytm Wallet app using their wallet balance or their saved payment instruments. "The QR code option will allow basic service providers like kirana stores, auto-rickshaws, fast food joints and others to carry a laminated QR code of their account and receive payment even without a data connection," Paytm Vice President Payment Products Nitin Misra said.
