    At $8 bn, Mumbai tops in terrorism risks worldwide
    Mumbai has the largest exposure to terrorism at almost $8 billion and the second highest exposure to power outages with $1.92 billion of GDP at risk among the large global cities, says a report. Mumbai has the largest risk with a $47.38 billion worth of exposure and almost one quarter of the city's potential losses are related to pandemic risks, followed by terrorism at 16.77 per cent, market crash at 12.94 per cent and floods at 12.89 per cent, the global insurance major Lloyd's said citing its report 'City Risk Index'. The study presents the first-ever analysis of economic output at risk in 301 major cities from 18 manmade and natural threats over a 10-year period. India's 10 largest urban centres of economic growth have $179.8 billion worth at risk from a series of threats over the next decade. (Reuters)

    OROP row: Veterans accuse Govt of 'shifting goalpost'
    New Delhi, Sep 3 (PTI) The Deadlock over 'One rank, One Pension' (OROP) persisted today with agitating ex-servicemen accusing the government of "constantly shifting goalpost" and "wasting time" even as a fresh round of back-channel talks were held. The veterans also accused the government of not coming out with any "concrete proposal" to resolve the issue. Some sections in the government were also giving misleading figures about financial ramifications in implementing the scheme, they alleged. Asked what would be their reaction if the government unilaterally announces OROP on its own conditions, Col (Retd) Anil Kaul, media adviser to the United Front of Ex-Servicemen, said, "We will not accept it if it is against the agreed definition of OROP".     Mercedes rolls out AMG C 63 S priced at Rs 1.3 crore
    Mercedes-Benz launched AMG C 63 S here in the performance car segment priced at Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). C 63 S is the 10th model launched by Mercedes-Benz in India in the AMG class and is a car with intelligent assistance systems powered by a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine. The sports car consumes 32 per cent less fuel compared with its predecessors and hurtles to 100 km/ph in four seconds, Mercedes-Benz India said in a statement.     RBI will shortly put into circulation Rs 5 coins to commemorate golden jubilee of Indo-Pak War 1965. The new coin in the obverse will bear Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with Satyamev Jayate inscribed below it. On the reverse it will bear image of 'Amar Jawan' monument along with the design of olive leaves branch on its left and right sides at the center, with the inscription "veerata aur balidan" in Devnagri script on the left upper periphery and "VALOUR AND SACRIFICE" in English on the right upper periphery.     Twitter today launched a self-service advertising platform to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in India to effectively reach their target audiences in 15 languages. Twitter, which has expanded the platform globally to over 200 countries and territories, has one lakh total active advertisers, including SMBs. "Small and medium-sized businesses face the most challenges and are least resourced to promote the good work they do," Twitter SMB lead for Asia Pacific Emily Huo said. (Reuters)

    Ola tells HC it will not run diesel cabs in city
    Ola cab company today said its diesel taxis will no longer run services within the city limits, after Delhi High Court asked it to show it has complied with its order upholding the city government's ban on app-based diesel vehicles. Ola told the court that in compliance of its order, the company's diesel taxis would be restricted to inter-city travel only from today. It said "the company will not make available on 'Ola technology platform', All India Tourist Permit (AITP) taxis operating on diesel on point-to-point in the national capital territory of Delhi." It also said that necessary software for the same has been developed and installed and has become operational from 10 am today. (Reuters)
