In yet another grand launch, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled Skill India, that looks to re-skill 402 million Indians by 2022. The initiative is being driven by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a public private partnership initiative to develop and upgrade the skills of India’s growing workforce. It is currently focusing on 21 high-priority sectors that include automobiles, food processing, retail, real estate among others. The aims are lofty but so are the challenges.

    Food Processing: Such kind of processing which decreases the nutrient valu must be avoided e.g. polishing the rice , pulses , sweet / namkeen packaging . As far as possible food items should be natural & fresh without preservatives or long period storage.
