MUMBAI, NOV 8: Global logistics company DHL has signed a deal to acquire a majority stake in Indian courier firm Blue Dart Express Ltd for Rs 350 per share, a source close to the deal said on Monday.
The deal is a 15.4 per cent premium over Friday's close of the shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"The deal has been signed, and an announcement is expected shortly," the source, who declined to be identified, told.
He did not gave the value of the deal, but market sources said some of the founders of Blue Dart have decided to sell their stakes. Indian founders hold a combined 51.1 per cent Blue Dart. |
