Ranbaxy Q2 net up 118 per cent

NEW DELHI, JULY 19:  India's largest drug firm Ranbaxy Laboratories on Thursday reported a 118 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 at Rs 266.2 crore as against Rs 122.11 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's consolidated net sales in the quarter under review grew 12 per cent to Rs 1,623.8 crore compared to Rs 1,149.8 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.

"The sales figures exclude gains or losses on foreign exchange translation," a Ranbaxy official said.
