NEW DELHI, MAY 17: Global travel search engine Mobissimo on Wednesday announced its foray into the Indian market through an official launch of its Indian website www.mobissimo.in.
‘‘The dramatic growth of users from India searching for domestic and international travel has been phenomenal. It is second only to US. On a monthly basis there is a 30 per cent growth,’’ Mobissimo co-founder and CEO Beatrice Tarka said.
Mobissimo searches prices directly from 157 different travel suppliers across the world, based on visitors’ search criteria, and displays them with one simple search. Mobissimo’s network of travel sites covers fares from more than 400 airlines, including access to low-cost airlines not available on any other single site.
‘‘With a Mobissimo search, the traveller sees the same price that a travel supplier shows when a search is conducted directly on its site, including taxes and service fees,’’ Tarka added.
The US-based company has tied up with low cost carrier SpiceJet and travel portal makemytrip.com as a part of its expansion plan in India. |
