Dance divas maange more from the media
Tired of being relegated to the engagements columns of newspapers, or the occasional ineffectual piece, dance divas of the country got together to launch a protest against what they called a `subversive attempt to trivialise the arts'.

In a unique venture, All India Radio and 43 television channels united the nation at 2000 hrs on August 15 in a single thought: to pay a tribute to the martyrs who fought for the freedom for the country, and to those who laid down their lives protecting that freedom.
