Clinton writes to India, Pak urging restraint
US President Bill Clinton sent letters over the weekend to the Indian and Pakistani Prime Ministers, urging restraint and a return to talks, the White House has said.

US calls nuclear doctrine a wrong step
The United States vowed to continue efforts towards denuclearising South Asia as President Bill Clinton once again wrote to the Indian and Pakistani Prime Ministers, Atal Behari Vajpayee and Nawaz Sharif, urging restraint and imploring them to return to the Lahore process.

Pak militants in Dagestan, Kargil intrusion similar -- Kargil media
Russian troops are combating Pakistani mercenaries among other Muslim rebels in restive Dagestan and the situation shows a great similarity to the one India faced in Kargil, stated media reports in Russian on Wednesday.
