Quit, then talk -- US to Pak
The Clinton administration believes that intruders who crossed the Line of Control (LoC) from Pakistan have not fully withdrawn and New Delhi is justified in not talking to Islamabad till that happens.

Islamabad must keep its word, says Albright
The US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, emphasised the importance of Pakistan following through on its commitment to withdraw from the remaining positions along the Kargil Sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

Remaining 2 peaks recovered
Even as the Indian troops recovered the last two remaining peaks -- Sando Top and Zulu Top -- in the Drass sector after a fierce fight late last night, Pakistan seemed to have adopted an aggressive stance with heavy shelling of Drass town.
