Infosys net jumps 150%
Software blue chip Infosys Technologies Ltd (ITL) has set a scorching pace for other corporates by doubling its total income in the first quarter (Q1) of 1999-2000 and boosting the bottom line (net profit) by over 150 per cent to Rs 60.61 crore.

Essar FRNs set for roll-over
Essar Steel's $ 250-million floating rate notes (FRNs), which are due for redemption, are heading for a roll-over. Financial institutions led by the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) on Friday reiterated that roll-over of FRNs may be the best option for Essar Steel.
