Jhuggi dwellers thrash cops

NEW DELHI, March 30: A sub-inspector was seriously injured, when a group of over 2,500 jhuggi dwellers from Alakananda in south Delhi pelted stones and beat up policemen who were trying to persuade them to clear a road blockade. SI Jagdev Singh was struck on the head by a stone. He was taken to AIIMS and he is reported to be critical.
