According to the release, more than 2,300 women had taken the benefit from the health department in the Naswadi taluka, while only 76 women came ahead in the Tilakwada taluka which reflected lack of awareness among the populace there. It may be noted that pregnant women belonging to the poor strata get Rs 500 financial assistance from the health department.

According to official information, there were 473 beneficiaries in Naswadi taluka, 327 in Chhotaudepur, 207 in Dabhoi, 203 in Savli, 200 in Padra, 176 in Karjan, 167 in Waghodia, 148 in Sankheda, 143 in Shinor, Vadodara rural 101 and 95 women in Jetpurpavi.
