Two admitted to hospital
One Ramjan Sheikh, 28, a resident of Padra taluka's Unchi Pol area, was rushed to the SSG Hospital on Tuesday after he consumed acid over a petty family dispute, the police said, adding that the matter was being investigated. In another case, 35-year-old Pramila Raval, a resident of Sarbhan village in Amod taluka was critically injured and rushed to SSG Hospital after she sustained burns while cooking, the police said.

House-break
Miscreants broke into house of one K Ramanmurti, a resident of Adarshnagar Society, Tarsali, and decamped with valuables worth Rs 7,000. According to the Makarpura police, the miscreants broke into the locked house when the owner was away.

Two held
The city police arrrested two notorious criminals and bootleggers and sent them to Ahmedabad jail, an official release said on Tuesday. The accused Devi Panchal, a resident of Shyamnagar area and Kapila Rathod of Manjalpur areas were held under Prevention of Anti-Social Activities (PASA) Act after they were found repeatedly indulging in anti-social activities.
