France honours Sarin

CHANDIGARH, Mar 19: The French Ambassador to India, Claude Blanchemaison, today conferred the title of "Chevalier Des Palme Academique" on Manmohan Lal Sarin, a senior advocate and president of Alliance Francaise. The French envoy pinned the insignia on Sarin at a simple ceremony at the Alliance Francaise in Sector 36 today.The French Ambassador lauded Sarin for his role in building Indo-French relations and for promoting French in the region. After receiving the honour, Sarin thanked the French government for honouring him in recognition of his services.
