My first break

Known for her svelte body, charming roles, and cute face, Achint Kaur, like all others who have made it someplace in the world of television, states that her foray into the field was a sizably healthy `accident'. ``A family friend was shooting a pilot for NEPC, and the person just asked me to be in it. The pilot, which was for a serial called Kintu Parantu, went nowhere, but I got started," she says. The journey was from Meerut to Mumbai, and it did not take too long. Somebody saw the pilot of Kintu Parantu, and Achint got a call for Banegi Apni Baat. That was where her career kicked off.

A Home Science graduate, she never thought that she would make it this far, or last this long, says Achint. ``After college, I was thinking about what I should do now, when this happened. After which, I've never really thought of anything else. There hasn't been the time,'' she laughs. About how long she'll be here, and whether she has any bigger plans, Achint cannot decide.

``It's great fun, thisprofession. And the fun should remain,'' is all she has to say.
