LUDHIANA, MARCH 7: For once as the audience applauded at the 26th International Mushaira held to celebrate Sahir Ludhianvi's birth anniversary, the political show in the state faded away as the poets took center stage. Organised by Adeeb International, this perennial feature on Ludhiana's cultural scene took place last evening at the Nehru Siddhant Kendra.And as always poets circled the theme of desire, intensity and obsession, Chahat ne kis makam ..., recited Huma Parveen and Adab Gulati followed up with Lamha lamha apni aag me jalta rahna Mom na hoke bhi pighalte rahna.
However, not all the poets at the mushaira where willing to stick to these subjects. Sagar Khyyami provided some lighter moments with a touch of humour. The other poets who took part included Rahat Indari, Nigar Azeem, Anjum Rahbar and Mauj Rampuri.
