Motorola India hives off internet division
Motorola India has hived off its Bangalore-based Internet and networking group division which had posted a revenue of Rs 25-30 crore last year. The staff strength of the division has come down by 80-90%.
K C Pant calls for national consensus on subsidies
Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission K C Pant today said that there was need to project the poor as far as subsidies are concerned and said there was need for a national consenus on the level of subsidy.
Essar hires DLJ to sell power firm stake
Company officials say that Essar Steel, which is set to get a Rs 1,400 crore bailout package from the financial institutions, has proposed that they will sell off its stake in its power company to raise about Rs 800 crore.
