Srinath in final
Federico Rovai saved two match points and threatened a revival in the semi-finals of the $ 6250 State Bank of India ITF Satellite Circuit tennis tournament today. But his opponent, Prahlad Srinath (ranked 541), had smelt victory and a brief detour was not going to stop him from a place in the final against Thailand's Danai Udomchoke (1077). Srinath won 6-1, 7-5 in an hour and 35 minutes and said he had been ``too soft'' in the second set.

Sprint queen P T Usha once again defied age to pick up two gold - one individual and one in relay - on the second day of the 64th Inter-Railways Athletics Meet at the Salt Lake Stadium today. The day also saw three meet records being created, including a rare happening in which all the top four finishers of the women's triple jump bettered the existing mark.
