EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
COIMBATORE, February 15: Chief Minister M Karunanidhi who went round the sites of Saturday's blasts today called on the injured at the Government Hospital and literally ended up in tears when the crowds appealed to him to provide succour to them.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by TMC chief G K Moopanar, Chief Secretary K A Nambiar, Home Secretary Poornalingam and other senior police officers.

He first met a large number of relatives of the blast victims and consoled them. On hearing their pathetic cries, Karunanidhi broke into tears.

The Chief Minister visited the scene of blasts and enquired from the Commissioner of Police as to how the blasts took place.

The Chief Minister, with sorrow writ large on his face, later walked into the trauma ward to call on the victims.
